HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A MEMBER OF THE FOREVER COMMUNITY?

I've lurked for a while but have been active for only about 2 months. Just shows what a friendly, accepting group this is - already I feel like I belong.

WHAT’S YOUR EARLIEST FAMILY MEMORY & HAVE YOU SCRAPPED IT YET?

Very vague memories of my first home (lived there from birth through to preschool age) and have scrapped a couple of photos from that time (including one of me in a baby bath).

HOW & WHEN DID YOU DECIDE SCRAPBOOKING WAS YOUR THING?

I started scrapping about 8 years ago but my interest has waxed and waned. I'm probably more passionate about it now and spend more time scrapping than I've ever done previously as my children are now in their teens so time with them is very precious and becoming increasingly limited. I want to record as much as possible about their formative years before they leave home and it's all forgotten.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

Very conservative, traditional, structured and linear. I love clean; clear, uncluttered pages were the photos are the focus of the layout. It's just not my personality to do free style or arty pages as much as I admire them.

TELL US SOMETHING RANDOM ABOUT YOURSELF THAT WE DON’T ALREADY KNOW!

I don't know if Sonia remembers this ..............  But it's got to be one of my most embarrassing experiences. I was going to attend a FA retreat 3 years ago; booked and paid and organised for DH to be home from Lightning Ridge to look after the kids for the weekend. Was all organised to go ................ until one Friday night Sonia phoned me and asked if I was coming to the retreat. Yes, of course I was, next weekend in fact.

WRONG!!!!!!!!

Sonia was actually phoning from the retreat wanting to know what time I'd be arriving as she was waiting to lock the gates. I was like a 6 hour drive away! OMG I got the wrong weekend! Never ever had I done anything like that before ............... and never since (fortunately). {Yes Amanda I remember {wink}}

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TECHNIQUE

Hand sewing and using found items - little non scrapping bits and pieces that I come across and can tuck into a page somewhere.

SHOW US YOUR FAVOURITE CREATION

You've already seen my current favourite; it's the FAFF mini album. I'd never done a mini album before and never really scrapped my extended family so this challenge really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I found working in a smaller format very stimulating as it allowed me to try things that I'd never consider doing in 12" x 12" (far too risky for a conservative scrapper like me LOL). The faux patchwork, origami journaling, transparency window, clothing label background and the wiggly journaling strips were all new and all so much fun to create. I just loved doing this, thanks Sonia and the Design Team.

ANY PARTING WORDS TO SHARE WITH US?

Thanks so much for everyone at FA for accepting me into the family. It's been a wonderful experience!
